LXF 4 Returns Nov. 15 With Two Title Bouts
Jay Silva will defend his LXF heavyweight title against Mike Quintero, Albert Morales takes on Ryan Lilley for the vacant bantamweight title and former NFL player returns for third time in LXF cage.
Lights Out Xtreme Fighting (LXF) will return to The Media City on Friday, November 15 for a full night of MMA action and two championship title bouts at the Burbank Marriott Events Center.

LXF4 will air tape-delayed on regional Fox Sports channels in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Texas, Florida, Arizona and Ohio markets, just like its previous three installments.

In the main event, Brazilian brawler Jay Silva (12-12-1) will defend his LXF heavyweight title against Mike Quintero (5-2). Silva is riding a two-fight winning streak and has been champing at the bit to test his skills in the LXF cage. Silva picked up the belt from Jack May at LXF 2 when May did not accept a fine from the California State Athletic Commission after both fighters were involved in a fight during the weigh-in, and thus, forfeited the title. May beat Quintero, a brazilian jiu jitsu black belt, for the title during LXF 1. Quintero won the first fight via submission in 2018.

In the co-main event, the vacant bantamweight title will be on the line when Albert Morales (9-6-1) takes on Ryan Lilley (10-5). Morales, a former six-fight UFC veteran who’s also scored two wins in Bellator, will look to build on the momentum following his first-round finish at LXF 3 against Lilley, who’s alternated wins and losses in his last four contests."
As a former NFL player who’s been involved in the MMA scene for 15 years, I know a thing or two about hard work and discipline," says Shawne Merriman, co-founder of LXF and a former All-Pro linebacker for the San Diego Chargers. "Here at LXF, we’re focused on showcasing some of the most talented fighters on the local circuit and turning them into household names."
The LXF’s mission is to develop the next generation of MMA fighters while also offering athletes from other sports a platform to step into the cage and pursue their dreams, and former NFL defensive lineman Chris McCain (2-0) will continue seizing the opportunity and crossover into LXF cage. McCain, a four-year NFL veteran who’s played 35 career games for the Chargers, Dolphins and Saints, was recruited by Merriman to the promotion and has promptly scored a knockout at LXF 2 in July, and a unanimous decision victory at LXF 3 in September. He will take on an opponent still-to-be-determined at LXF 4.

Highlights from LXF2

Additional bouts include:
  1. Hunter Carlyle (7-1) will look for his third win in 2019 and fourth in a row overall against touted 20-year-old prospect Jean-Paul Bosnoyan (2-0) in a lightweight bout.
  2. Leon Shahbazyan (7-2), the older brother of UFC phenom Edmen Shahbazyan, will look to get back into the win column against veteran Joshua Jones (9-4) in a middleweight bout. Shahbazyan dropped his last bout during Dana White’s Contender Series. Jones, meanwhile, sports a 2-2 career record at Bellator and recently scored a submission over former LXF champion Dominic Clark.
  3. In a lightweight fight, Brian Del Rosario (4-3) will enter the LXF cage for the third time this year against Dean Hancock (4-3), who’s tallied a 3-2 record in Bellator.
  4. Liudvik Sholinian (6-1-1) and Yumma Horiuchi (7-1) will both put their impressive records on the line in a bantamweight affair.
In separate action versus opponents still to be determined, former WLF World Kickboxing champion and Edmond Tarverdyan protege Melsik Baghdasaryan(4-1) will return to LXF cage for his third straight appearance and first since scoring the league’s fastest finish, a 7 second KO in September.
Additionally, David Roberts (4-0) will look to continue his four-fight finish streak.
In D-League action, Sean Sharaf (2-0) will look to build off the momentum from his second-round stoppage at LXF 3.

Tickets for LXF 4 can be purchased beginning at $65 online at LightsOutXF.com or at the Burbank Marriott Events Center box office during fight night. VIP Dinner and Bottle Service Tables are also available.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. PST, and the first bout will take place at 7:30 p.m. PST. All bouts are subject to change.
